Our facilities

Our campus is home to some of the world’s best gymnastics facilities and outstanding recreation activities! Our Olympic Gym where IGS is located is centered around IGC founder Bruno Klaus’ invention of the 6″x6″ foam block and is specifically designed with one of the world’s largest foam pits to provide unparalleled training opportunities.

Gym School Coodinator, Berrill D. (Miss B)

Berrill has been a valued member of our Gym School family for many years, consistently demonstrating her passion and dedication. We’re incredibly lucky to have her as our coordinator, ensuring the smooth running of our programs and creating a positive and enriching environment for our students. Her leadership and commitment truly make a difference!

My name is Allie. I was previously a competitive gymnast for nine years. I have been coaching gymnastics for six years. I am a Junior at East Stroudsburg University, where I am studying to be a Speech Pathologist. I love working with kids!

Coach Julia D.

Hi my name is Julia, I did gymnastics for 13 years and I have been coaching for 6 years. I am currently a sophomore at East Stroudsburg University studying Exercise Science with a minor in Health Coaching. I also am on the STUNT team at ESU. During the summer I coach the team girls at my home gym and also work at a summer camp with toddlers!

Coach Mindy S.

Hi! My name is Mindy. I am 20 years old and I am from Perkasie PA. I am currently a 3rd year student at East Stroudsburg University studying Health and Physical Education. I have been a gymnast since I was 12 years old and continued my journey tumbling on the ESU Acrobatics and Tumbling team for 2 years. I have been a gymnastics coach since I was 16 years old for recreational classes and summer camps!

Hi, my name is Madison and I am 19 years old. I am currently majoring in nursing at ESU while also being on their STUNT team. I did competitive gymnastics for 11 years and have also been a coach for 4 years.

Hi my name is Abbie. I am 19 years old and I did competitive gymnastics for 7 years. I am now starting to compete again at IGC with NAIGC. I have been coaching competitive and recreational gymnastics for 4 years. I am currently attending East Stroudsburg University for Early Childhood Education.

Hello, My name is Kylie and I am 19 years old. I am currently a sophomore at East Stroudsburg University, where I study Health and Physical Education. I have been doing competitive gymnastics since I was 5 years old. I still compete in gymnastics through NAIGC here at IGC. I have been coaching competitive and recreation gymnastics for over 5 years.

Hi, My name is Georgeanne. I am 19 years old and I am currently a sophomore at East Stroudsburg University. I am majoring in special education. Over the last 5 years I have worked with children in summer camps, schools, and as a youth sport coach.

Hello, my name is Hailey and I am 20 years old. I am currently a Sophomore at East Stroudsburg University where I am majoring in health and physical education. Over the past few summers I have worked at a summer camp with kids ages 5-12. I have also been coaching youth sports for many years.

IGS coaches

Mihai Gheorghe

Mihai Gheorghe was been a senior staff member at International Gymnastics since 1996. Originally from Bucharest, Romania, Mihai was a competitive gymnast for 20 years and was a three-time Romanian National Team Member. From 1992 – 1996, he was a Romanian Men’s international elite coach. In 1997, he coached Adrian Lanculescu to a 3rd place finish on Vault at the World Championships.

IGS coaches

Constantin Petrescu

Constantin Petrescu has been coaching and training staff at International Gymnastics since the summer of 1989. Constantin’s accolades are almost too numerous to mention. He was a member of the 1972 Romanian Olympic Team. He has coached four Olympic gymnasts and was the former Romanian National Team Coach. Constantin holds a master’s degree in physical education, gymnastics coaching, and teaching.

Day Camp

The best day camp in the Poconos! International Day Campers ages 4-12 build self-confidence, teamwork, and social skills in our safe and energetic environment.

The International Day Camp activities include: arts and crafts, swimming, a water slide, gymnastics, games, field sports, nature walks, a miniature golf course, and a private lake with kayaking. Our staff is a combination of certified teachers, child development professionals, lifeguards, and a registered nurse who is on-site at all times.

IGS staff members and founders

A Family Dedicated to Gymnastics

Bruno’s involvement in gymnastics spans over six decades as an All-American gymnast, judge, coach, and gymnastics director. He is in the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame as a competitor, coach, and contributor to the sport of gymnastics. Professor Emeritus Bruno Klaus also holds a Master’s degree in Health and Physical Education, and was a professor at East Stroudsburg University for over 30 years.

IGS founders

Director Brent Klaus carries on the family tradition as the second generation of Klaus family leadership at International Gymnastics School. He is the founder of the Professional Coaching Diploma Program (PCD). Brent has been a member of the U.S. National Team, competed for Ohio State University, and represented the United States in the 1995 World University Games in Japan. He is still the only man to ever score a perfect 10.0 on vault at the USA Championships!
